Rules & Regulations
The Code of Conduct of Hans Moore High School is based on the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, as well as the South African Schools Law of 1996.
From the above it is accepted that every citizen has the same basic human rights.
In order to give all the learners the opportunity to be educated, certain rules have to be adhered to, in order to maintain order in the school.
This Code of Conduct has been compiled in such a way that all learners, as well as Educators have an opportunity to educate and be educated.

What is the meaning of the Afrikaans garden between the administration building and the C-Block?
Afrikaans celebrated its 90th birthday in 2015. This was celebrated by changing this garden into a commemorative garden with poems and lyrics from well known writers like: Koos du Plessis (Somerkersfees, Sprokie vir ‘n stadskind), Steve Hofmeyr (Pampoen), CJ Langenhoven (Die Stem), Eugene Marais (Die dans van die Reën), Daniël Hugo (Die huis luister, Seisoenlektuur), Elvis Blue (Spore), Antjie Krog (Ma).
What does the rose garden and fountain in front of the Sport Office commemorate?
It was established to commemorate staff members who had a record of 20 years or more service at Hans Moore, as well as the loss of a loved staff member who passed away in 2014.

Where is the memorial wall and what is it for?
When you enter the small pedestrian gate at the main entrance, it is at your immediate left on the wall. It is in memorial of learners and staff members who passed away during their time at Hans Moore.
